Miso Con Carne

 

No, you did not read wrong, we mean Miso Con Carne, and you can enjoy this warm winter dish with your children.


500g Minced beef 
1 Diced tomato can 
1 Red Kidney bean can 
1 Finely chopped onion 
1 Large garlic clove
1 Red capsicum – cut into 1cm squares
1 Soup stock
200cc Water
1tbs your favorite oil
3tbs tomato sauce
1tbs oregano
1ts paprika
1ts cumin
Total 2tbs miso
(cayenne pepper to taste, 1ts or more)
 

  1. Sautee garlic and onion in a pan. 
  2. Add minced beef and sautee until beef turns brown.
  3. Add all other ingredients, except only use 2tbs miso here, and stew for 20 minutes.
  4. Turn the heat off and add the remaining 1tbsp of Miso and mix well. By saving some miso till the end, you can retain the flavor, aroma and enzymes of miso.
  5. Enjoy!!
